Volcan Baru in Chiriqui, Panama

The Baru Volcano last blew its top millions of years ago. The result was a rich volcanic soil that now supports an abundant rainforest eco-system that coexists well with the area’s agricultural interests.

Coffee is big in Boquete. This region is known for its rich blends that find their bold character in the ancient volcanic soil lining the volcano’s hills and valleys.

The climate near the volcano is Panama’s best. Cool mountain breezes blow day and night, making for a world where your best air conditioner is an open window.

The area features many hiking trails and guided tour adventures. You can 4X to the top of the volcano in about 45 minutes, or you can walk it in about 4 hours. In either instance, your journey will be filled with the brilliant colors and abundant wildlife that have made this area famous.
